As an example, stage 2 of the framework involves storage. When water is stagnant at elevated temperatures due to source water travelling in hot environments, there is scope for bacterial growth. Adequate filtration and bacterial control is essential in order to prevent the spread of disease.  Hydrotec provides chlorine dioxide generation and dosing, copper silver ionisation, and ultraviolet disinfection, for the bacterial control, and lots of filtration equipment too.

Furthermore, it is important to prevent scale formation in the system, which can develop due to the quality of the source water in stage 1 on the PMT. Hydrotec is able to provide innovative water conditioning and water softening to prevent and control the formation of limescale and protect the system.
