Ashveen is an award-winning chartered engineer and has years of international experience in the Public Health field. He worked in Mauritius, Seychelles, UK, and UAE. He has completed projects in the education, leisure, residential, hospitality, IT and transportation sector. Some of his most recent Dubai projects are Royal Art Complex, River of Light, Etisalat Tier III Certified Data Centre, Bvlgari Hotel, Ain Dubai and Aladdin City, Dubai Mall Rainwater Review, Dubai Mall Fashion Avenue Expansion and Expo 2020 Sustainability Pavilion.
Some of his technical skills are water services, wastewater systems, storm water drainage including Sustainable Urban Drainage systems (SUDs) and rainwater attenuation, fuel oil systems, LPG design, Prevention of disease transmission in water network and Firefighting Systems.
Ashveen is the current CIBSE UAE honorary treasurer and a member of the technical committee. He was invited to be part of the committee reviewing the design codes of healthcare facilities by Dubai Healthcare Authority (DHA) which was published in 2019. He has also published articles in the MEP Middle East magazine.
Ashveen is also registered as a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow at CIBSE, SoPHE and CIPHE.
He also has Europe Engineer (EUR ING) title. Ashveen has developed a very good relationships with several plumbing or building services engineering institutions where he often inputs in the production of guidelines and codes.
Ashveen won the Plumbing Engineer of the Year for the last three consecutive years (2019, 2020 and 2021) for his innovative works on Terra, the Sustainability Pavilion, and the research he undertook on Pathogens in the plumbing system. He was highly commended for Technical Manager of the Year in 2022. He also worked on the Sustainability Pavilion which won the 2019 Plumbing Project of the Year, and the external works was the winner in 2020 and Museum of the Future which was highly commended in 2022.
Ashveen is currently researching and writing about a new concept which he called the Pathogens Management Train (PMT) which is copyrighted in the UK under his name and registration number 284749246. It consists of identifying the different pathways of transmission of pathogens in the Plumbing Systems and implementing measures to mitigate the risks. His research paper was published by CIBSE during the CIBSE ASHRAE Technical Symposium 2021.
He also published several articles in the MEP Middle East Magazine and CIBSE Journal, UK.
Ashveen is also researching the capillary action irrigation system to reduce the amount of water required for irrigation. He is constructing a model of the system which will also be used to investigate contamination of water from irrigation system.
Ashveen is also working on launching a webpage dedicated to good engineering practices in the region. www.pmt-me.com will be officially launch this year.
As part of BuroHappold, Ashveen is working on several NEOM projects including the gas station, the Line and the Media Hub among others.
